Jr Database Administrator

As a Junior Database Administrator at our company, you will be responsible for the following:

• Coding for websites using HTML and HTML5.
• Configuring and optimizing application firewalls, rule sets, and session handling preferences.
• Patching and upgrading new software releases, as well as performing backup and recovery tasks.
• Monitoring and reviewing action logs for various events such as disk space limits, web traffic usage, changes to IP/DNS zones, and application configuration changes.
• Performing other IT duties as required.

To qualify for this role, you should have:

• Experience in coding and development.
• Proficiency in HTML5, PHP, CSS, and SQL/MySQL.
• Skills in mapping IP addresses to domain names.
• Knowledge of MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MSSQL software, as well as related database technologies.
• Familiarity with DNS zones, templates, and records.

Additionally, we look for the following professional skills and requirements:

• Demonstrated leadership and teamwork in a professional setting, whether military or civilian.
• Proven success in contributing to a team-oriented environment.
• Ability to work creatively and analytically in problem-solving situations.
• Desire to work in an information systems environment.

• Eligibility for Reliability Security clearance.
