As an Associate in the Legal and Compliance Division at Morgan Stanley, you will be a part of the LCD Data and Analytics team, assisting the firm in managing legal, regulatory, and franchise risks to achieve business objectives. **Key Responsibilities:** - Support the Operational Risk Framework, Governance, and Coverage team by analyzing large data sets of structured and unstructured data. - Contribute to the development of presentations for executive management and senior risk managers. - Assist in ad hoc projects, analyses, and presentation support for the Operational Risk Framework, Governance, and Coverage team. - Collaborate with teams across locations and businesses to scope projects, define analytical approaches, and summarize conclusions in concise presentations. - Participate in the analysis and preparation of information supporting various operational risk programs. - Lead and promote Business Intelligence tooling development. - Utilize visualization products such as Tableau, Power BI to identify process efficiency opportunities. **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelor's/master's degree in finance, Economics, or similar field. A Master's degree is a plus. - Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is required for this role. - Approximately 3 years of relevant experience in Operational Risk management or Risk and Control teams. - Strong interest in Risk management and reporting. - Good understanding and experience in operational risk management concepts. - Proficiency in PowerPoint, Advanced Excel, VBA, Co-pilot, and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI). - Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. - Ability to work under pressure with competing demands and challenging deadlines. - Strong organization skills, ability to multitask, prioritize, and collaborate effectively across teams.
