As a Java Application Developer at Optum, you will play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining Java applications throughout all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). **Key Responsibilities:**
- Design, implement, and maintain Java applications within the SDLC
- Drive Architecture decisions and provide technical solutions to business problems
- Participate in Architecture review board meetings and collaborate with fellow architects
- Identify opportunities to optimize Java applications
- Work on Cloud modernization using AWS or Azure
**Required Qualifications:**
- Graduate or Post Graduate in Computer Science/Engineering/Science/Mathematics or related field
- Technical Skills:
- Technical Experience: Java, J2EE, ReactJS, AWS
- Solid experience in Core Java, Spring, and Hibernate/Spring Data JPA
- Working Experience on AWS cloud
- Hands-on experience with RDBMS like SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL
- Experience in SOA based architecture and Web Services
- Experience in continuous integration tools such as Jenkins, Sonar, Nexus, PMD
- Experience in using profiler tools like JProfiler, JMeter
- Good understanding of UML and design patterns
- Good understanding of Performance tuning
- Predominantly involved in developing business solutions through software applications development
- Primary contributor in designing, coding, testing, debugging, documenting, and supporting applications to deliver business value
