Role Overview:
As a Senior PAM Security Engineer at Rockwell Automation, you will be primarily focused on securing privileged access within the organization. Your role will involve emphasizing privileged access management, secret management, and access control. You will have a blend of security engineering, architectural design, and leadership responsibilities, reporting to the Enterprise IAM Leader.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing and Implementing Vault Solutions: This includes architecting, deploying, and managing Hashi Corp Vault or similar solutions for secure secrets management, identity-based access, and data encryption across different environments (cloud, on-premises).
- Leading the design and implementation of secure application authentication, authorization, and data protection mechanisms, such as dynamic secrets, token management, and encryption as a service.
- Secure API integrations across platforms, ensuring adherence to enterprise security standards and compliance requirements.
- Managing privileged access for applications, including policy enforcement and automated rotation.
- Automating security configurations and enforcement across environments using infrastructure-as-code and configuration management tools.
- Collaborating with DevOps, IAM, and application teams to embed security into the application development lifecycle and CI/CD pipelines.
- Conducting security assessments, penetration testing, and remediation planning for identity and access management components of applications.
- Monitoring IAM traffic and logs for anomalies and responding to incidents involving access breaches.
- Working with application teams to secure API Keys, tokens, and other privileged access with solutions such as Hashi Corp Vault and CyberArk Vault.
- Developing and implementing secure API authentication and authorization mechanisms in collaboration with application teams.
- Modernizing PAM solutions to enhance end-user experience and security.
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor's / Master's Degree in computer science, software engineering, management information systems, or related field, or equivalent relevant years of experience.
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in Cyber Security, with a focus on Privileged Access Management.
- Hands-on experience with API security tools and platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, Apigee, or AWS API Gateway).
- Experience with secret management solutions (e.g., Hashi Corp Vault, CyberArk Conjure).
