Job Description
As a Production Engineer at ExxonMobil, you will play a crucial role in supporting the global portfolio of Deepwater, Conventional, Unconventional & Heavy Oil assets. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and collaborating with engineers and operators on global teams to analyze well/field performance and advise on production optimization
- Working with a cross-disciplinary team to identify and execute opportunities for production debottlenecking and operations schedule optimization
- Proactively engaging with stakeholders to address challenges, deliver solutions, and process improvements for effective production optimization
- Conducting periodic assessments of field production system health to identify optimization opportunities
- Supporting operator teams for operations schedule optimization, capacity enhancement, and downtime optimization
- Developing, deploying, sustaining, and applying technologies for oilfield production optimization
- Conducting economic evaluations of well intervention and stimulation operations
- Managing production data, measurement, and allocation quality assurance
- Enhancing proprietary production engineering technology and developing technical capabilities of team members through training and mentoring
Qualifications required for this role include:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in petroleum/chemical/mechanical/other relevant engineering disciplines with a minimum GPA of 7.0
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Production Engineering field
- Knowledge of basic concepts including inflow/outflow/flowline modeling, production well testing, network modeling, well design, artificial lift methods, and reservoir surveillance
- Strong analytical skills for evaluating critical operating parameters through data and trend analysis
- Hands-on experience with engineering analysis tools within the experience domain
- Preferred qualifications/experience in engineering applications, programming/scripting, data visualization software, production database management, and digital oil field tools and workflows
