Job Description
As a Hardware Engineer specializing in Analog, Digital, and Power Electronics, your role will involve the following key responsibilities:
- Understanding customer requirements and design specifications.
- Demonstrating expertise in Analog and Digital Circuit design, including working with OpAmps, Filters, Signal conditioning circuits, and mixed signal design.
- Selecting, designing, and validating 16/32-bit microcontrollers.
- Designing power supplies utilizing Buck, Boost, and LDO topology.
- Implementing hardware design with components such as MOSFETs, transistors, High Side Drivers, Low Side Drivers, and eFuse.
- Designing with communication protocols such as CAN, LIN, and Ethernet.
- Participating in Technical Design Reviews for Hardware, PCB, and cross-functional projects.
- Ensuring designs meet EMI/EMC standards and resolving related issues.
- Contributing to the entire Automotive product lifecycle process.
Qualifications required for this role include:
- Experience in DFMEA and hardware Functional Safety work products like HSR, FMEDA, FTA, and DFA.
- Knowledge of Hardware Software Interface design.
- Proficiency in PCB layout, EMI/EMC, Grounding, and Shielding.
- Writing and reviewing hardware requirement specifications.
- Schematic design experience, preferably using Mentor Graphics Dx-Designer and Expedition.
- Experience in analog circuit simulation with tools like PSpice / LT Spice and Mathcad for Worst Case Analysis.
- Familiarity with electronic test equipment such as DMM, DSO, function generator, programmable HV Power supply, spectrum analyzer, EMI receiver, etc.
- Ability to debug electronic circuits and identify root causes of failures.
- Understanding of power dissipation calculations and thermal considerations in hardware design.
- Knowledge of standards like ISO-16750, ISO7637, and ISO11452.
- Experience with requirements management tools like DOORs.
- Collaboration with internal teams for FMEDA and FTA reviews and defining technical hardware solutions to mitigate safety risks.
- Developing verification and validation test plans.
- Effective communication with customers, suppliers, and team members.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
