As a WordPress Web Designer & Developer at The Vjal Institute, your primary focus will be on creating and maintaining high-quality pages, especially landing pages, ensuring excellent performance and reliability, managing hosting and technical operations, and handling integrations with the membership and learning ecosystem. Your role will involve the following core responsibilities: - Designing and building web pages in WordPress using Elementor with a focus on clean UX, responsiveness, and brand consistency. - Creating and maintaining reusable components to keep the site scalable and consistent. - Ensuring cross-browser and cross-device compatibility, accessibility basics, and high-quality QA. - Building high-performing landing pages for campaigns, product launches, and lead generation. - Configuring and maintaining MemberPress for memberships/subscriptions. - Troubleshooting membership-related issues and coordinating with stakeholders to ensure membership flows reflect current business rules. - Maintaining and troubleshooting website integrations with tools/platforms such as LMS, Xano DB, SSO, CRM forms, email capture, and more. - Managing hosting and website operations including uptime monitoring, backups, plugin/theme updates, and security. - Maintaining existing pages, site sections, and documentation for key site systems to reduce downtime. Additionally, you will be responsible for collaborating with the marketing team to implement on-page SEO basics, support tracking implementation, and maintain cookie consent banners. Your role will primarily focus on implementation and technical QA, while strategy ownership for SEO/ads/analytics will remain with the marketing team. Required Skills & Experience: - Strong experience in building and maintaining WordPress websites. - High proficiency with Elementor and responsive builds. - Experience with membership/subscription websites, ideally MemberPress. - Solid front-end fundamentals: HTML/CSS, and basic JavaScript knowledge. - Proven ability to manage hosting and site operations. - Experience integrating WordPress with third-party tools. Preferred Skills: - Familiarity with GA4/GTM implementation and event tracking. - Understanding of technical/on-page SEO implementation. - Experience with SSO flows and membership gating logic. - Experience working with backend/API systems like Xano. In the first 60-90 days, success in this role will be defined by the quick and flawless delivery of landing pages and website updates, stable and clear MemberPress flows, well-documented and monitored integrations, reliable website operations, and seamless support for marketing in SEO/tracking implementation.
