Visual & Graphic Design Associate

Role Overview: You will be joining the dynamic Design team at IIHS as a visual and graphics design associate. Your primary responsibility will be to create visually compelling designs that align with the institution's brand identity and communication objectives. This is a contractual engagement for an initial term of 11 months, with the potential for extension or conversion into a regular position based on mutual consent. Key Responsibilities: - Graphic Design: Create visual content for digital and print media including books, reports, infographics, social media graphics, event collateral, presentations, and advertisements. - Brand Consistency: Ensure all design work adheres to IIHS' brand guidelines for a consistent visual identity across all channels. - Collaboration: Work closely with the design team, marketing team, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver on design briefs. - Concept Development: Contribute innovative design ideas that engage the target audience. - Visual Assets Management: Maintain a library of visual assets for easy access by the team. - Design Software Proficiency: Utilize industry-standard design software like Adobe Creative Suite for creating and editing graphics. - Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough reviews to ensure error-free design work. - Deadline Management: Manage multiple design projects, meet deadlines, and communicate project status effectively. - Trends and Innovation: Stay updated on design trends and best practices to enhance creativity. - Support IIHS activities including academics, research, training, practice, and operations. - Participate in all Institution-Building activities at IIHS. - Travel within the country for IIHS work as required. Qualifications Required: - Background in Design/Art school with a degree in Graphic design, Visual Communication, or related discipline. - 4-6 years of graphic design experience with a strong portfolio. - Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and good understanding of typography, color theory, and layout principles. - Language proficiency in English, Kannada, or Hindi. - Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills. - Time management skills to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. - Knowledge of web design principles and UI/UX concepts would be beneficial. - Additional skills like Photography, Drawing/Sketching, Animation, HTML, Web-programming, WordPress, or CMS are advantageous.
