Job Description
Job Title: Transmission Line / Tower Design Engineer
Location: Mumbai / Site Coordination as Required
Experience: 5- 9Years
Industry: Power Transmission / EPC
Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Transmission Line Tower Design Engineer with strong expertise in lattice tower design, analysis, and detailing for high voltage transmission lines. The candidate should have hands-on experience in structural design, load calculations, and optimization of transmission towers as per national and international standards.
Key Responsibilities:

Design and analysis of transmission line lattice towers (33kV to 765kV).

Preparation of tower design calculations including load calculations, sag-tension analysis, and structural optimization.

Development of GA drawings, fabrication drawings, and bill of materials (BOM).
-
Conduct structural analysis using STAAD Pro / PLS-Tower or similar software.
-
Wind load, seismic load, and load combination calculations as per IS/IEC/ASCE standards.

Coordination with drafting, estimation, and site teams for design clarifications.

Tower foundation load extraction and coordination with foundation design team.

Checking and approval of vendor drawings and technical documents.
-
Ensuring compliance with client specifications and project requirements.
Required Skills:
-
Strong knowledge of transmission line tower design principles.

Experience in sag-tension calculation and stringing chart preparation.
-
Proficiency in STAAD Pro / PLS Tower / AutoCAD.

Good understanding of IS codes, IEC standards, and international design codes.

Experience in optimization of tower weight and cost-effective design.

Ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Qualification:

B.E / B.Tech in Civil or Mechanical Engineering

M.Tech (Structural Engineering) preferred
