Technical/Solution Architect

As a PRODUCT/PLATFORM SOFTWARE ARCHITECT at HARMAN Automotive, you will play a crucial role in defining the software architecture for SBU Connectivity products/platforms. Your responsibilities will include: - Defining the software architecture for telematics, infrastructure, or cyber security products - Developing technology strategy, managing IP, and accelerating product development - Leading PoC (Proof of Concept) preparation and execution, and analyzing RFI/RFQ - Collaborating with internal teams to adapt to customer needs and contribute to product architecture - Demonstrating technical expertise in areas such as 4G/5G/SatCom network connectivity, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, Edge Computing, V2X, and Automotive Cyber Security - Hands-on involvement in technology implementation, business acumen, and driving projects forward Your qualifications should include: - Bachelors degree in electrical/electronics, communications, computer engineering or a similar field - 13+ years of experience in product development, system/embedded software, and connectivity technologies - Deep expertise in Telematics, Communications, and software architecture - Strong understanding of embedded, cloud/edge, and mobile software applications - Proven track record of system design and architecture, technical leadership, and new software initiatives Bonus points if you have: - Masters degree in related discipline - Experience with Machine Learning/Deep Learning SDKs, electronic systems design, and customer interfacing - Strong attention to detail, project management skills, and technical leadership capabilities To be successful in this role, you should be willing to travel up to 20% domestically and internationally, and work either on-site or remotely with occasional office visits.
