Job Description
As a Technical Product Manager at TransUnion, you will play a crucial role in leading the development and optimization of usage reporting, billing calculation processes, and external dashboard infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the development and refinement of usage, revenue, and audit-based calculations for billing and invoicing processes.
- Defining and maintaining technical requirements and development standards in collaboration with engineering leads.
- Managing the Insights & Reporting (IR) team to ensure the delivery of high-quality and scalable solutions.
- Owning the automation and optimization of the contract configuration tool and external dashboard infrastructure.
- Collaborating with finance, product, and engineering teams to ensure alignment on data accuracy, compliance, and reporting logic.
- Developing and maintaining BI dashboards and reports to communicate value to internal and external stakeholders.
- Establishing and enforcing QA processes for usage data validation, billing logic, and dashboard accuracy.
- Driving continuous improvement in reporting workflows, data integration, and stakeholder communication.
- Supporting cross-functional planning and prioritization to ensure the timely delivery of roadmap initiatives.
Qualifications required for this role include:
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in technical product management, preferably in SaaS, data platforms, or financial services.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial workflows, and billing logic.
- Proven experience in process design, QA frameworks, and automation of operational workflows.
- Ability to define and simplify mathematical models and logical calculation frameworks.
- Experience collaborating with engineering teams to define technical requirements, architecture standards, and scalable development practices.
- Hands-on experience with BI tools (e.g., Apache Superset, Power BI, Tableau) and dashboard/report design.
- Familiarity with contract configuration tools, usage-based billing systems, and audit trail development.
- Strong communication skills to translate technical concepts into business value for internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience working across global teams and time zones with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
- Demonstrated experience managing Agile product development workflows, including sprint planning, backlog grooming, and cross-functional coordination.
- Proficient in using JIRA to define epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria, and to track progress across engineering and reporting teams.
- Skilled in maintaining Agile rituals and documentation to ensure transparency, velocity tracking, and continuous improvement.
