Job Description
Role Overview:
As a Supervisor in Finance Business Partnering at ICON, you will be responsible for leading the Project Finance team with a focus on high-quality delivery and center of excellence. Your role will involve hiring the right talent for your team, providing training to new joiners, ensuring 100% accuracy in reports with timely deliverables, and embedding the Own It @ ICON Culture and the ICON four Values. You will take ownership of study end-to-end, analyze financial and operational metrics, conduct external reporting to sponsors, and support the Manager of Finance in preparing accurate reports and financial forecasts. Additionally, you will be expected to analyze financial results, identify revenue and margin drivers, build strong relationships with the Project Management group, and contribute to process improvement initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the PFA team with high-quality delivery and center of excellence
- Hire the right talent for your team and onboard them based on agreed timelines
- Provide training to new joiners and ensure 100% accuracy in reports with timely deliverables
- Embed the Own It @ ICON Culture and the ICON four Values
- Take ownership of study end-to-end and analyze financial and operational metrics
- Conduct external reporting to sponsors and prepare sponsor level MIS reports
- Support the Manager of Finance in preparing accurate reports and financial forecasts
- Analyze business unit financial results and key performance indicators
- Identify key revenue and margin drivers within the portfolio
- Build strong working relationships with the Project Management group
- Support the pre-close review of revenue and prepare ad-hoc management presentations
- Contribute to the culture of process improvement and streamline processes
Qualification Required:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in managing teams and performing yearly appraisals
- Ability to interpret data and convert between formats
- Numerate with financial understanding
- Exposure to Project Revenue Business
- Excellent working knowledge of MS Office package, especially Excel
- Prior experience in Oracle Financial systems, Hyperion, Alteryx, Power BI is an advantage
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral
- Desire to continue financial education (CA, CPA, CMA, MBA or relevant qualifications)
- Experience in financial analysis and planning preferred
