As a Staff Engineer, Software at Celestica, your role involves developing, debugging, testing, deploying, and supporting code for various applications and systems. Your responsibilities include: - Providing technical leadership to the compute team - Developing and reviewing Linux device drivers and diagnostic firmware - Releasing documents work according to procedures and design specifications - Managing software changes using revision control and issue tracker tools - Participating in technical discussions and code reviews To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications: - Strong programming skills in C, C++, P4, and other low-level languages - Familiarity with CPU, DPU, memory, NICs, and board monitoring elements - Experience with GPU programming using libraries like CUDA and ROCm - Deep understanding of networking protocols and concepts - Proficiency in debugging and testing to resolve software and hardware issues - Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities - Experience with SmartNICs and cloud computing architectures is a plus - Clear communication skills to articulate requirements effectively The physical demands of this position include working in a normal office environment, extended periods of sitting, visual concentration on a computer monitor, and occasional travel. The typical experience required for this role is 10 to 15 years, along with a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Educational requirements may vary by geography.
