Staff Architect, Embedded Software Connectivity/Telematics Domain

As a PRODUCT/PLATFORM SOFTWARE ARCHITECT at HARMAN Automotive, you will play a vital role in defining the software architecture of telematics, infrastructure, or cyber security products within the Harman Automotive Division. Your responsibilities will include: - Defining the software architecture and technology strategy for the assigned product/platform area, covering all aspects from requirement analysis to successful product launch - Demonstrating technical expertise in 4G/5G/SatCom network connectivity, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, Edge Computing, V2X, and Automotive Cyber Security - Promoting solutions, preparing and executing Proof of Concepts (PoC), analyzing RFI/RFQ, and shaping product architecture and strategy based on customer needs - Leading technical communication with internal and external teams, representing the software design team in projects - Investigating future technologies in AI and connectivity domain to enhance the product roadmap - Recommending implementation standards and design patterns for information security and regulatory compliance - Leading the technical direction and architecture for system HW and SW in customer engagements - Constantly scouting for new technologies and finding innovative solutions - Providing technical expertise for the request for quotation (RFQ) phase of potential new projects To be successful in this role, you will need: - Bachelors degree in electrical/electronics, communications, computer engineering or a similar discipline - 13+ years of experience in product development, system/embedded software, and connectivity technologies - Deep technical expertise in Telematics and Communications with core knowledge in embedded, cloud/edge, and mobile software applications - Experience in architecting end-to-end solutions involving embedded devices, cloud applications, and mobile applications - Outstanding verbal, written, and presentation skills to communicate architectural issues and concepts effectively Additionally, possessing the following qualifications will be considered a bonus: - Masters degree in electrical, communications, computer engineering or a similar discipline - Good analytical skills and system understanding in embedded area - Experience with Machine Learning/Deep Learning SDKs on embedded hardware - Strong attention to detail and project management skills HARMAN offers a flexible work environment, employee discounts, extensive training opportunities, wellness benefits, tuition reimbursement, and an inclusive work culture that values professional and personal development.
