Job Description
As a Process Engineer, your role involves developing Process Design Basis and Design Philosophies based on the scope of work. You will review and perform Process Simulations, guide Process Engineers in performing simulations, and develop Heat & Mass Balances as required. Your expertise will be demonstrated in developing PFDs, PSFDs, P&IDs, C&EDs, and Safe charts. Additionally, your proven skills in routine process calculations and utilization of process software will be essential.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Developing Process control configurations and ESD systems
- Designing equipment such as separators, pumps, compressors, and gas treatment units
- Engineering and designing facilities involving Fired Heaters, Heat Exchangers, and Columns
- Designing systems including Steam, Instrument air, Plant air, Nitrogen, Fuel gas/oil, and various Water systems
- Performing relief valve and flare load calculations
- Developing utility balance, UFD, and summaries for all utilities of a process plant
- Having knowledge in offsites like tank farm, boilers, and power generation
- Familiarity with engineering practices, international standards, codes, specifications, and procedures
- Planning, scheduling, and coordinating project execution
- Coordinating with peers and subordinates from other engineering departments
- Identifying and mitigating risks related to performance guarantees and vendor packages
- Evaluating Vendor/Consultant/Licensor offers for Process Packages/Equipment and Specialized Process Engineering Studies
- Familiarity with routine safety studies like HAZOP, HAZID, SIL
- Knowledge of Pre-commissioning/Commissioning/Operations is an added advantage
- Good report writing skills
