Job Description
As a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing pressure vessels and ensuring compliance with industry standards. Your expertise in using PV Elite software and understanding of the ASME code will be crucial for the successful completion of projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and analyze pressure vessels in compliance with ASME code using PV Elite software.
- Perform stress analysis, material selection, and calculations for pressure vessels to ensure safety, reliability, and compliance with industry standards.
- Perform detailed engineering calculations related to pressure vessel design, including thickness calculations, reinforcement, and nozzle load analysis.
- Lead and manage multiple design projects from concept to completion, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to specifications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, quality, and procurement to ensure seamless project execution.
- Prepare and review design documentation, including detailed drawings, specifications, and material requisitions.
- Conduct design reviews, verify design calculations, and participate in quality assurance activities to ensure the accuracy and integrity of designs.
- Ensure all designs comply with ASME code requirements and other relevant standards and regulations.
- Stay updated with the latest advancements in pressure vessel design and ASME code revisions.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance design processes and tools.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience: 8-10 years of experience in mechanical design, specifically in pressure vessel design using PV Elite software.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in PV Elite software and familiarity with other relevant design tools.
- In-depth knowledge of ASME code and pressure vessel design principles.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
