Job Description
As a Data Engineer at Chemours, you will play a crucial role in optimizing data systems and architecture to support the next generation of products and data initiatives. You will be responsible for capturing requirements for data transformation, designing and managing data pipelines, and informing data management policy. Your expertise in data movement, transformation tools, and cloud storage options will be essential in driving digital technologies process improvement and innovation through data analytics, visualization, and process automation.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Capture requirements for data transformation in support of data science and reporting needs
- Design, develop, and manage data pipelines using SQL and Python
- Inform data management policy
**Qualifications Required:**
- Creative problem-solving skills
- Advanced SQL, Python, and Spark (pyspark) knowledge
- Experience with Git version control and DevOps practices
- Proficiency in data movement/ETL tools, preferably Azure Data Factory and Azure Synapse
- Relational database experience, preferably SQL Server Azure SQL Azure Synapse
- Familiarity with data storage options in Azure (ADLS, BLOB, etc.)
- Knowledge of security best practices in Azure, particularly Azure Key Vault
In addition to the above responsibilities and qualifications, you are expected to have 10 years of experience in a Data Engineer role and hold a Graduate degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Informatics, Information Systems, or another quantitative field. Your experience with big data tools, relational SQL and NoSQL databases, data pipeline management tools, and cloud services will be valuable assets in this role. You should also possess strong project management skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
