Job Description
As an Engineer specializing in wire rope hoists and cranes, your role will involve providing support to regional frontline operations for customized Configured to Order (CTO) sales design solutions. This will include checking technical specifications from tender documents, creating preliminary offer drawings, and ensuring compliance with industry standards such as FEM, CMAA, and EN. You will serve as a direct interface for sales support on wire rope hoists and customized CTO cranes like Bridge Cranes, Gantry Cranes, Wall Console, and Hangar Cranes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Selecting crane components such as hoists, end carriages, drives, etc.
- Designing steel structures and creating equipment layouts.
- Performing necessary mechanical and structural calculations to confirm designs.
- Coordinating with cross-functional teams to resolve offer queries.
- Ensuring quality assurance in the drawing and design process by adhering to team KPIs.
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical with 1-2 years of experience in wire rope hoists or similar industrial equipment.
- Good design knowledge of wire rope hoists, cranes, and their components.
- Experience working in cross-functional teams.
In addition to the technical aspects of the role, you will be expected to demonstrate a strong mechanical aptitude, a commercial mindset, and a customer-oriented approach. Competencies in 2D CAD tools like Vertex and SAP will be advantageous.
