Software Engineer - Intern

As a Software Engineer Intern in the Wayside Intelligence Team, you will have the opportunity to work alongside a team of engineers with diverse skill sets. Your role will involve implementing and testing Wayside Intelligence Software Services, supporting updates to server-side logic and REST APIs, conducting thorough testing to identify and fix bugs, collaborating closely with the team to develop rapidly, and contributing to various parts of the stack when needed. Key Responsibilities: - Implement and test Wayside Intelligence Software Services. - Support updates to server-side logic and REST APIs. - Conduct thorough testing to identify and fix bugs. - Collaborate closely with the team to develop rapidly. - Contribute to other parts of the stack when necessary. Qualifications: - Strong problem-solving skills. - Proficiency in general-purpose programming languages such as Python or Go. - General knowledge of front-end software including HTML, JavaScript, CSS, React, or Angular. - Familiarity with BDD and Python for writing automated tests. - Exposure to Linux Development Environments. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
