Mastercard's Business Intelligence platform team is currently seeking a passionate individual with a strong software development and quality engineering background to join as a Software Engineer II Quality. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design, develop, and execute manual and automated test cases for web applications, APIs (REST/SOAP), and databases. - Validate application codebases for new features and regression testing using automation frameworks. - Perform performance testing to ensure scalability and reliability of cloud-based applications. - Write and optimize complex SQL queries for validating large and complex datasets. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain quality throughout the software development lifecycle. - Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like Git/Bitbucket, Jenkins, and Maven. - Participate in Agile/SAFe ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives. - Communicate effectively with technical teams and stakeholders to report bugs, suggest improvements, and align on quality goals. **Qualifications Required:** - Bachelors/masters degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field. - ISTQB certified with 35 years of experience in software testing (manual and automation). - Proficiency in Java or Python, Selenium, Cucumber, and REST API testing. - Strong SQL skills with the ability to write and debug complex queries. - Experience with performance testing tools and cloud-based application testing. - Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, and Maven. - Hands-on experience in Agile/SAFe environments. - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. - Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently under pressure. **Preferred Qualifications:** - Exposure to AI/ML-based application testing. - Experience with test management tools like JIRA, TestRail, or similar. - Knowledge of containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
