Senior Performance Tester

You will be responsible for managing end-to-end performance test cycles to ensure the speed, scalability, and reliability of software applications. Your role will involve leading performance testing efforts, analyzing outcomes, and making recommendations for application performance improvements. You will also collaborate with key stakeholders and work across multiple projects while taking ownership of task completion. **Key Responsibilities:** - Gather requirements, automate test cases, execute tests, analyze outcomes, and communicate results. - Drive performance and stability improvements of applications and infrastructure. - Set up performance test strategy and analyze performance workloads on production infrastructure. - Design and plan performance and scalability tests for front-end and back-end applications. - Identify and evaluate new technologies for incorporation into the existing environment. - Collaborate with key stakeholders on infrastructure design and implementing performance improvement solutions. - Monitor and collect detailed performance metrics across the entire application stack. - Generate comprehensive performance test reports for technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Analyze test results to identify and isolate performance bottlenecks. - Utilize test automation tools like JMeter and have strong scripting/programming skills in relevant languages. - Troubleshoot using APM tools and profile across various layers like client-side, web, and DB. - Familiarity with log aggregation tools like Splunk/ELK/Sumo Logic/Grey Log. - Experience in JVM performance tuning and optimization. - Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and integration using tools like Jenkins. **Qualifications Required:** - Minimum 8+ years of hands-on experience in performance testing and engineering. - Knowledge of shipping Domain is a plus. - Experience in requirements gathering and analysis, deriving test strategy. - Proficiency in JMeter, Java, C#, RDBMS, and SQL. - Familiarity with testing tools such as Load Runner, Zephyr, XUnit, Selenium, Sonar Cloud, Appium, Postman/SoapUI/Rest-assured. - Ability to quickly understand business processes. - Technical knowledge in Operating System, RDBMS, SQL, and scripting language. - Experience in testing web applications and web services. - Experience in CPU, Memory, Disk I/O, Network, Garbage Collection, Database counters, etc. - Effective verbal and written communication skills in English. - Strong software engineering skills with high tech resilience. - Agile development methodologies and DevOps mindset. - 10+ years of experience in software testing and quality assurance. - Prior experience with automated testing tools like Selenium. - Experience in agile methodologies and Object Oriented programming language, C#. - Ability to travel (national and international) and work flexibly.
