Senior Mobile QA Engineer

As a highly skilled Senior Mobile QA Engineer, your role will involve ensuring the quality, stability, and performance of mobile applications on both Android and iOS platforms. You will need to have expertise in manual and automated testing, along with strong analytical skills. Working in agile development environments, you will collaborate closely with developers, product managers, and business stakeholders to consistently deliver high-quality releases. Key Responsibilities: - Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test strategies for mobile apps on iOS & Android platforms. - Define testing scope, timelines, and deliverables for each release cycle while identifying testing requirements and dependencies in collaboration with development and product teams. - Perform functional, regression, usability, UI/UX, smoke, and exploratory testing for mobile applications. - Validate app behavior across various OS versions, screen sizes, and device types. - Conduct API testing for mobile backend services. - Ensure optimal app performance, responsiveness, and stability under varying load conditions. - Design, develop, and maintain mobile test automation scripts using frameworks like Appium, Espresso, XCUITest, Detox (as applicable). - Set up automation pipelines and ensure automation coverage for all critical flows. - Execute automated tests as part of the CI/CD cycle and report failures. - Identify, report, and track defects using tools like Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar. - Perform root cause analysis and collaborate with developers to resolve issues. - Prioritize defects based on severity, impact, and business needs. - Ensure adherence to QA processes, standards, and best practices. - Continuously improve test processes and introduce QA innovations. Technical Skills Required: - Strong experience in testing mobile apps (native, hybrid, or cross-platform). - Hands-on experience with Appium or similar mobile automation tools. - Experience in Android Studio, Xcode, and real device testing. - Strong knowledge of API testing tools such as Postman, RestAssured, etc. - Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Bitrise, etc.). - Knowledge of version control systems like Git. - Understanding of performance testing and tools such as JMeter or Firebase Performance Monitoring. - Basic knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Java, JavaScript) is a plus. Soft Skills: - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - Strong communication and documentation abilities. - Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams. - Attention to detail with a strong focus on delivering high-quality products.
