**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Work closely with on-site mining engineers, geologists, and operational managers to gather data, validate assumptions, and communicate findings.
  • Design and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for mining operations, providing regular reports and dashboards to management.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for proposed operational changes, technology adoptions, or capital investments.
  • Develop predictive maintenance models to minimize equipment downtime and optimize maintenance schedules.
  • Utilize data visualization tools to present complex information in a clear, concise, and actionable manner.
  • Stay abreast of technological advancements and best practices in mining operations analysis and data science.
  • Contribute to strategic planning initiatives by providing data-driven insights into operational risks and opportunities.
  • Ensure data integrity and accuracy throughout all analytical processes.
  • Mentor junior analysts and contribute to the development of the analytics team.

**Qualifications:**

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mining Engineering, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering, Data Science, or a related quantitative field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in operational analysis, with a significant focus on the mining industry.
  • Proven expertise in data analysis, statistical modeling, simulation, and optimization techniques.
  • Proficiency in programming languages commonly used in data science (e.g., Python, R) and experience with database management (e.g., SQL).
