Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of complex mechatronic systems from concept to production.

  • Develop system architectures, component specifications, and detailed design documentation.
  • Design and simulate mechanical components and systems using CAD and CAE tools (e.g., SolidWorks, ANSYS).
  • Develop and implement control algorithms for mechatronic systems.
  • Select appropriate sensors, actuators, microcontrollers, and power electronics.
  • Conduct rigorous testing and validation of mechatronic prototypes and systems.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, software engineering, and manufacturing, in a remote setting.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across mechanical, electrical, and software domains.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in mechatronics, robotics, and automation.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
  • Manage project timelines and resources effectively for assigned mechatronic development tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Master's or Ph.D. in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in mechatronic system design and development.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, CATIA) and CAE tools for simulation (e.g., ANSYS, MATLAB/Simulink).
  • Strong understanding of control theory, embedded systems, and real-time programming.
  • Experience with microcontrollers (e.g., ARM, Arduino) and associated development environments.
  • Knowledge of sensor technologies, actuation methods, and power electronics.
  • Familiarity with robotic systems, automation, and industrial control is highly desirable.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
  • Superior communication and collaboration skills, with proven ability to work effectively in a remote, cross-functional team.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical projects and mentor engineers.
  • Experience with Agile development methodologies.
