Job Description
As an Electrical System Engineering Expert and Technical Project Manager at ANDRITZ, you will be instrumental in the successful engineering and execution of Electrical Power Systems (EPS) for Hydro Power Projects. Your role will involve a diverse set of responsibilities, ranging from creating single-line diagrams to ensuring compliance with standards for systems up to 500kV. Collaboration with cross-functional teams and mentorship of junior engineers will be key aspects of your daily tasks.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- **Electrical Design and Engineering:**
- Develop and review single-line diagrams, conduct load flow analysis, and perform short-circuit calculations/studies.
- Review basic and detailed engineering of Electrical Power Systems for Hydro Power Projects, including various components such as switchgear, transformers, reactors, and switchyard equipment.
- Ensure equipment sizing calculations align with project requirements and support procurement and project management teams during negotiations.
- **Engineering Excellence:**
- Possess in-depth techno-commercial knowledge of Electrical Balance of Plant (EBoP) packages.
- Communicate design details with customers, address queries, and provide support during technical and commercial negotiations.
- **Customer Focus:**
- Prioritize customer satisfaction and maintain a strong focus on quality throughout the engineering process.
- **Troubleshooting and Collaboration:**
- Demonstrate problem-solving skills and offer technical solutions during project phases.
- Interface with cross-functional teams and suppliers to ensure seamless integration of engineering activities.
- **Continuous Improvement:**
- Collaborate with vendors to develop alternate designs and drive continuous improvement efforts in engineering processes.
- Actively seek opportunities for design optimizations without compromising project requirements.
- **Independent Project Handling:**
- Take ownership of assigned projects from concept to commissioning, ensuring adherence to project-specific requirements.
- Provide mentorship to junior design engineers and monitor design schedules for timely delivery.
- **Adherence to Standards and Quality Assurance:**
- Ensure designs meet guaranteed and contractual requirements while complying with industry standards, regulations, and procedures.
**Qualification Requirements:**
- **Qualification:**
- BE/ BTech in Electrical Engineering.
- **Experience:**
- 15-20 years.
**Skills and Abilities:**
- Proficiency in engineering software like ETAP.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Technical project management skills.
- Knowledge of national and international standards.
