Senior Founding Engineer

As a Senior Founding Engineer at the company, you will play a pivotal role in driving engineering execution and setting the technical pace for the team. Your responsibilities will include: - Architecting and implementing scalable, secure backend systems using Node.js, Python, and React, integrating AI workflows for end-to-end freight automation. - Designing, building, and maintaining agentic AI pipelines to automate carrier matching, scheduling, tracking, proof of delivery processing, lumper/detention approvals, invoicing, compliance, and claims workflows. - Owning and optimizing DevOps processes for high uptime and rapid iteration, including CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, cloud environments, containerization, and system monitoring. - Leading the development of advanced AI features such as predictive analytics, anomaly detection, and workflow orchestration to drive operational efficiency. - Collaborating on full-stack features to ensure robust frontend-backend-AI integration and a seamless user experience. - Rapidly prototyping, testing, and deploying new solutions in high-velocity environments, owning the technical roadmap and making critical decisions. - Establishing and enforcing best practices for code quality, security, and data privacy across the engineering team. - Mentoring and upskilling engineers on agentic AI, workflow automation, and modern DevOps practices. - Continuously evaluating and integrating emerging technologies to keep the company at the forefront of logistics innovation. In terms of team leadership and mentorship, you will be responsible for recruiting, mentoring, and growing a high-performing engineering team, fostering a culture of innovation, ownership, and speed, and translating product vision into technical constraints and priorities. Your strategic impact will involve protecting product-market fit focus, collaborating with founders and product leaders to align tech and business goals, and engaging with customers and stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver custom solutions.
