Senior Data Scientist - I

As a Senior Data Scientist at MetLife, you will play a crucial role in the data and analytics life cycle, contributing significantly to the development of production-grade data and analytics solutions. Your responsibilities will include: - Designing, building, validating, and deploying production grade rule-based & machine learning models using structured and unstructured data - Performing exploratory data analysis and feature engineering - Monitoring, evaluating, and improving model performance - Ensuring model development follows quality, security, compliance, explainability, and responsible use of AI guidelines - Collaborating with multiple partners from Business, Technology, Operations, and D&A capabilities - Mentoring Data Scientists and independently leading design, solutioning & estimations Your technical skills will include proficiency in Python, statistics, hypothesis testing, feature engineering, various machine learning frameworks such as SCikit-learn, Tensorflow, Pytorch, as well as natural language processing (NLP) tools like spacy, Transformers, OCR. Additionally, experience in generative AI, communication skills, analytical skills, structured problem-solving skills, mentorship, storytelling, partner & stakeholder engagement is required. Good to have skills include experience with Azure ML or cloud AI/ML Services, ML Ops, and knowledge of Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance domain.
