Senior Architect - Java

You will be a part of a dynamic Product Architecture Team at Gartner, collaborating with the Product development team to ensure solutions align with the defined Architecture Principles. Your role involves researching and developing innovative engineering solutions that enhance architecture pillars like resiliency, security, performance, and scalability. Additionally, you will focus on Data Architecture, defining and enforcing cross-platform data flow standards, including data ingestion across the Business Unit. Your responsibilities will include: - Collaborating with a team of Architects to solve problems using principles - Developing modern, future-proof solutions for millions of end-users - Working with Open-source technologies and applications - Operating in a fast-paced environment alongside passionate technology professionals - Adhering to coding standards, implementing unit tests, integration tests, and deployment scripts - Continuously innovating to create secure and efficient solutions - Establishing a robust data flow architecture within and outside the Business Unit - Engaging with technology engineers in product development, DevOps, and DBAs in an Agile/SCRUM environment - Prioritizing software quality and employing good engineering practices You are required to have: - 11 to 14 years of experience in developing customer-facing products and web applications, applying Architectural patterns - Proficiency in designing architecture for complex systems - Expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Microservices - Understanding of Data concepts and stores like Postgres and DynamoDB - Experience with Data Integration/ETL processes (e.g. Glue ETL) - Familiarity with Cloud platforms like AWS - Strong experience in implementing architectural patterns - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Desirable skills include: - Exposure to ReactJS or similar JavaScript frameworks - Experience with Docker and container orchestration (Kubernetes/Service Mesh) - Developing solutions using Message Queues and Caching - Knowledge of Terraform and GitOps (Argo, Helm) - Familiarity with Performance measurement and tuning - Experience with Visual Drawing tools like Miro and Smartdraw As a suitable candidate, you possess: - A Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science or related engineering field with software development experience - Effective time management skills and a track record of meeting deadlines - Excellent communication skills for technical and business interactions - Strong organization, multitasking, and prioritization abilities - Willingness and aptitude to embrace new technologies and concepts rapidly - Intellectual curiosity, a passion for technology, and staying updated with industry trends - Delivering project work on time, within budget, and with high quality.
