Role Overview: As a SDET 4 / Senior Staff SDET at Black Duck Software, Inc., you will be a skilled programmer with a passion for breaking things. This role requires you to be a developer first, specializing in quality, leveraging your programming expertise to create testing frameworks, develop test automation, and ensure high-quality software releases. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and executing test plans to identify defects and maintain the highest quality standards. Key Responsibilities: - Lead the E2E testing team in developing and implementing automated testing strategies and frameworks. - Design, develop, and maintain robust test automation scripts for end-to-end testing using industry-standard tools and technologies. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define testing requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage for new features and enhancements. - Mentor and guide team members in best practices for test automation and quality assurance. - Build and integrate AI agents to enhance the automation framework and improve testing efficiency. - Conduct regular code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality and adherence to standards. - Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with development teams for timely resolution. - Continuously evaluate and improve testing processes, methodologies, and tools to enhance overall product quality. - Stay updated with industry trends and emerging technologies related to automation and AI, and apply relevant innovations to the team's processes. - Prepare and present reports on testing progress, results, and quality metrics to stakeholders. - Develop and maintain test automation frameworks and scripts for CI/CD pipelines. - Familiarity with cloud-based testing environments and performance testing tools like JMeter and Locust. Qualification Required: - B.Tech/MCA in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. - 10 - 14 years of experience in Quality Assurance engineering with a focus on test automation roles. - Strong programming proficiency in Java comparable to a mid-senior developer. - Experience with cloud-based technologies, version control systems, and testing methodologies. - Expertise in Docker, Kubernetes, REST/SOAP testing, security testing principles, SQL databases, and automation tools. - Familiarity with performance testing tools, monitoring systems, and contract test frameworks. - Understanding of network, security, Linux system administration, and troubleshooting skills. - Ability to lead a small team, work analytically in problem-solving environments, and provide high-quality software for customers. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, mentoring abilities, and problem-solving skills.
