Scalable Systems Developer (Java/Spring Boot)

Role Overview: You are a Backend Developer (Java) at VAHN Solutions, based in Hyderabad. Your primary responsibility is to contribute to building and maintaining scalable, high-performance backend services and APIs that drive our web and mobile applications. You will collaborate with engineers, product managers, and QA to ensure a seamless user experience through reliable backend systems. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain backend services using Java (Java 11 or above) and Spring Boot. - Design and implement RESTful APIs to support frontend and mobile applications. - Integrate and manage data in SQL and NoSQL databases like PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB. - Collaborate with frontend developers, designers, and product managers for feature delivery. - Write clean, maintainable, and testable code. - Participate in code reviews, daily stand-ups, and sprint planning. - Debug and resolve performance and reliability issues in backend systems. - Learn and apply best practices in software engineering, testing, and documentation. Required Skills & Qualifications: - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. - 24 years of hands-on experience in backend development using Java or similar languages. - Good understanding of Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, and object-oriented design. - Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL databases and basic data modeling. - Experience using Git, and basic knowledge of CI/CD pipelines. - Exposure to containerization tools like Docker is a plus. - Strong problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn. - Comfortable working in a fast-paced, cooperative, on-site environment. Preferred / Nice-to-Have: - Familiarity with Redis, Kafka, or SQS. - Exposure to cloud services like AWS, GCP, or Azure. - Understanding of microservices architecture and backend scalability. - Experience writing unit/integration tests using JUnit, Mockito, or similar frameworks. - Experience with Generative AI, Prompt Engineering, and Agentic AI.
