As a candidate for this role, you will be expected to have a deep understanding of biological wastewater treatment processes, including aerobic, anaerobic, and hybrid systems. You should also possess knowledge of microbial consortium, biofilm formation, and nutrient removal. Your experience in developing and optimizing microbial consortia for pollutant degradation will be crucial for this position. Additionally, familiarity with metagenomics, bioinformatics, and microbial ecology to enhance treatment efficiency is required.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Skilled in water quality analysis (COD, BOD, nutrient levels, heavy metals).
- Proficient in data interpretation and process troubleshooting.
- Developing and optimizing biological treatment processes using microbial consortia for wastewater remediation.
- Designing bioreactors (batch, continuous, or membrane-based) for lab-scale and pilot-scale studies.
- Monitoring and improving nutrient removal efficiency (COD, BOD, nitrogen, phosphorus).
- Performing laboratory-scale and pilot-scale experiments for process optimization.
- Performing physicochemical analysis of wastewater (pH, DO, TDS, heavy metals, etc.).
- Analysing experimental data using statistical and computational tools.
- Preparing technical reports, SOPs, and presentations for internal teams and stakeholders.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams (biochemists, process engineers, QA/QC).
