React Development Professional

Role Overview: As a UI / Front End Developer at Peacock Engineering Ltd, your main responsibility will be developing new user interface components using React.js for major UK-based clients. Key Responsibilities: - Develop new user-facing features utilizing React.js - Translate functional requirements and wireframes into high-quality code with tests - Collaborate with architects, developers, and QA engineers to ensure testability, security compliance, and performance/scalability - Perform application and solution development to meet project requirements - Create detailed technical designs and documentation to fulfill business needs - Manage technical environments and support development and testing processes - Identify areas for customization and optimization to meet business requirements Qualifications Required: - Technical degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or Business-related field, or equivalent work experience - Strong understanding of React.js and its core principles - Minimum of five (5) years of experience in React application development with React Hooks - Proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model - Expertise in software development in an Agile environment - Ability to consistently deliver well-tested code in an Agile, CI/CD setting - Familiarity with JavaScript Testing frameworks (Jest preferred), newer ECMAScript specifications, RESTful APIs, and modern build pipelines/tools - Experience with Git, time-management skills, and excellent interpersonal and communication abilities - Desired skills include IBM MobileFirst certification and JAVA/SQL proficiency Additional Company Details: Peacock Engineering Ltd, a Gold-accredited IBM Premier Business Partner, specializes in offering consultancy services and support for the IBM Maximo EAM software product.
