Role Overview: At Synopsys, we drive innovations shaping the way we live and connect, leading in chip design, verification, and IP integration. As an exceptional C++ developer with a background or keen interest in Custom Design and Layout in Integrated Circuits, you will be designing new solutions, collaborating on automation projects, and improving existing systems in Custom products. Key Responsibilities: - Designing new solutions in Custom Design and Layout areas, including layout methodologies and applications of analytics and machine learning. - Collaborating on flagship layout automation projects and improving existing systems in Synopsys Custom products. - Working with corporate application engineers to understand customer needs and provide tailored solutions. - Writing well-designed, well-tested, high-quality C++ programs and creating design specifications. - Driving innovation in Custom Design and Layout solutions, enhancing the efficiency of layout automation tools, and improving the performance and reliability of Synopsys Custom products. - Providing critical insights and solutions for advanced silicon analog and mixed-signal designs. - Contributing to the development of silicon chips optimized for power, cost, and performance. Qualifications Required: - Bachelors or Masters Degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering. - 12+ years of experience in software development with expertise in C++, TCL, Python, Linux, build systems, and specification writing/reviewing. - Strong foundation in software design, data structures, algorithms, GUI systems, and event-driven systems. - Background in Layout Editor and automation engines for Analog Design is highly desirable. - Knowledge of digital EDA tools, circuit analysis, layout principles, and semiconductor manufacturing.
