Quality Assurance and Automation Specialist

As a Software Test Engineer I, your role involves creating and maintaining automated tests from manual test scripts and test cases. You will collaborate with Engineering teams to provide input on functional requirements, product designs, schedules, and potential problems. Your key responsibilities include: - Providing support to the Quality Engineering teams with a high attention to detail in a disciplined agile environment - Researching, analyzing, and documenting findings - Testing complex API, web, and mobile-based applications that reference database back-end systems - Creating and maintaining automated test cases, executing test suites, reviewing and diagnosing reported bugs, and ensuring overall system quality before customer release - Designing, developing, maintaining, and troubleshooting automated suites of tests through continuous integration for value-added feedback Moreover, you will derive testing requirements throughout the development cycle, reproduce, debug, and isolate problems, and verify fixes. You will also assist in creating software artifacts such as test plans, test cases, test procedures, and test reports. Additionally, you will plan test schedules and/or strategies according to project scope and delivery dates. In terms of qualifications, you should have: - 2+ years of relevant experience - Strong understanding of SDLC and JIRA processes - Experience with Selenium (Playwright preferred), Postman, API testing, and TestNG - Proficiency in Java or Python - Ability to work independently on projects and processes with close supervision - Knowledge of quality assurance methodologies, object-oriented programming language, and SDLC Furthermore, you should possess the ability to adapt to new technology/processes as per business requirements, update base level classes without causing issues, and have strong problem-solving skills to meet deadlines. Being a team player with the capability to build positive and collaborative relationships is essential for this role. The educational/vocational/previous experience recommendations for this position include a Bachelors degree in a related field or equivalent business experience.
