As a Mobile Application Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and functionality of native mobile applications that heavily rely on networking code. Your responsibilities will include: - Understanding the requirements and designing both manual and automated test scenarios to thoroughly test the features and logic of mobile apps. - Implementing various testing methodologies like exploratory, regression, acceptance, validation, boundary, and sanity testing to guarantee that features are usable, reliable, and operating as intended. - Testing all functionalities and features of mobile applications on iOS and Android devices to ensure they meet the required standards. - Collaborating with development teams to conduct performance/load testing and benchmarking before product release. - Identifying and reporting any issues, bottlenecks, or non-responsive states to developers promptly for resolution. - Participating in all phases of testing life cycles, including Functional, Regression, End2End, Alpha & Post-Release Testing, by writing and executing test plans and cases. - Designing and executing manual tests for edge or rare cases, replicating real users' actions, behaviors, and thinking. - Engaging in Agile development model practices, working with developers in sprints, conducting in-sprint testing, and reporting defects. - Following and implementing QA processes, directions, and best practices to ensure quality standards. Key Skills required for this role: - Enthusiastic, detail-oriented, and organized team player willing to learn and grow in the testing field. - Prior experience or familiarity with manual testing of mobile applications, including test plan creation and execution. - Proficiency in testing mobile native applications, IDEs, testing tools, and profiling tools. - Knowledge/exposure to Python programming language and experience with automation tools. - Understanding of HTTP/S communication protocol and JSON formats. - Experience with programming languages like Java, Swift, Android Studio, and/or Xcode is a plus. - Exposure to testing tools such as Appium, ADB, Postman Rest API, Charles Proxy. - Familiarity with Instrumentation and Profiling tools and native apps support, properties, behavior in iOS and Android OS. - Ability to work independently, proactively contribute ideas, and adapt to dynamic technical environments effectively.
