Job Description
As a PreSales Lead / Solution Architect specializing in Cloud Transformation & Managed Services, your role involves leading pre-sales solutioning for Cloud Engineering, Migration & Modernization, and Managed Services. You will partner with Sales, Delivery, and Practice leadership to qualify opportunities, architect hybrid/multi-cloud solutions, build estimates and proposals, and ensure smooth handover to delivery through governance and risk controls.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pre-Sales Deal Shaping
- Conduct discovery and workshops to capture business outcomes, current state, NFRs, constraints, and success criteria.
- Define target architecture, delivery approach, timeline, resourcing, assumptions/exclusions, dependencies, and risk plan.
- Own estimation and proposal/SOW technical sections, supporting client presentations up to CXO level.
- Drive bid governance with clear scope boundaries, quality gates, and handover checklist.
- Cloud Architecture & Standards
- Create reference architectures including landing zone, IAM, network segmentation, security controls, and governance guardrails.
- Select appropriate patterns/services for compute, containers/serverless, data, integration, observability, resilience, DR/BCP.
- Set standards for IaC, CI/CD, environment strategy, release governance, and SRE/operations practices.
- Ensure alignment with security/compliance requirements.
- Migration & Modernization Solutioning
- Define strategy using the 6R approach; recommend waves based on app/data assessment and dependencies.
- Build wave plan, cutover/rollback, test strategy, and data migration approach.
- Define modernization roadmap for applications, middleware, and databases.
- Promote accelerators for discovery, assessment, migration execution/validation, and operational readiness.
- Managed Services Design (Annual TCV / Run Model)
- Define operating model including L1/L2/L3 support, incident/problem/change management, service requests, and release governance.
- Define observability & reliability aspects such as SLO/SLI, monitoring/alerting/logs/traces, capacity, DR/BCP.
- Produce Managed Services artifacts like service catalog, SLA/OLA, RACI, runbooks, KB approach, continuous improvement cadence.
Qualifications Required:
- Total 14+ years of experience with 8-10+ years in pre-sales solutioning / cloud architecture for Migration & Modernization and/or managed services.
