Network Security Engineer

Role Overview: As a Network Design & Implementation expert, you will be responsible for designing, installing, and configuring LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and VPN connections across all warehouses and project offices. Your role will involve developing detailed network topology diagrams, maintaining accurate documentation, and designing scalable network solutions to support future expansion and automation systems. Additionally, you will plan structured cabling layouts, coordinate with vendors for implementation, and ensure network performance and availability across all sites. Key Responsibilities: - Design, install, and configure LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and VPN connections. - Develop detailed network topology diagrams and maintain accurate documentation. - Design scalable network solutions for future expansion and automation systems. - Plan structured cabling layouts and coordinate with vendors for implementation. - Monitor network performance and ensure uptime and availability. - Manage and maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points. - Provide Level 2/3 support for network-related escalations. - Train and guide local IT support staff at warehouse sites. Qualifications Required: - 25 years of experience in network administration or engineering. - Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, and switching. - Hands-on experience with Sophos, Fortinet, or similar network equipment. - Good understanding of structured cabling, fiber, and wireless technologies. - Ability to handle multiple sites and travel to warehouse/project locations as needed. - Experience in IP address management, VLAN configurations, and routing policies. - Familiarity with network monitoring tools such as PRTG, SolarWinds, or similar platforms. - Proficiency in performing preventive maintenance, firmware upgrades, and configuration backups.
