Job Description
As a NOCC Engineer at CME Group, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and availability of network systems. Your responsibilities will include monitoring network infrastructure, troubleshooting incidents, collaborating with various teams and stakeholders, and implementing network changes. It is essential for you to hold a CCNA or equivalent certification within 6 months of joining.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Actively monitor and troubleshoot incidents related to Global Network infrastructure & services
- Act as first responders to control incident response and troubleshoot issues
- Monitor all consoles and respond immediately to alerts generated from monitoring tools
- Update, escalate, and resolve network tickets in a timely manner
- Perform daily Health Check for Network to ensure uptime and service availability
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders including customers, vendors, and carrier providers
- Implement standard network changes and collaborate with specialists for migration/upgrade activities
- Engage in commissioning and decommissioning of network equipment, services, and circuits
- Document SOPs, KBAs, RCAs, and network diagrams
**Qualifications Required:**
- CCNA or equivalent certification
- 8-12 years of experience in Networking
- Proficiency in Routing & Switching, TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, IP addressing, and DDI protocols
- Understanding of Cisco & Arista Routers and Switches
- Familiarity with Wireless Standards & Security features
- Ability to perform advanced routing/switching and FW troubleshooting
- Knowledge of Palo Alto and/or Fortinet Operations
- Experience with Monitoring Tools like SolarWinds/Splunk
- Basic understanding of GCP Cloud and polling methods like SNMP/ICMP/WMI/Agents
- Knowledge of IT Infrastructure for effective issue escalation
**Desired Skills:**
- Understanding of GlobalProtect Operations
- Knowledge of Configuring, Monitoring, and tracking Alerts generated by Monitoring Systems
- Familiarity with Jira Software and Confluence
- Understanding of Multicast concepts and F5 Load balancer techniques
- Knowledge of VPN techniques such as GRE, IPSec, and SSL
- Proficiency in scripting language/tools like Python, Ansible, Terraform
