Role Overview:
Dentsply Sirona, the world's largest manufacturer of professional dental products and technologies, is seeking a skilled Network Engineer II to join their Global Networking Team. As a Network Engineer II, you will play a crucial role in supporting the planning, design, implementation, and maintenance of Dentsply Sirona's global network infrastructure. Your contribution will drive excellence in network operations and help shape the success of the company's IT initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Global Network Infrastructure Design and Implementation:
- Participate in network architecture reviews and contribute to scalable and resilient network designs.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to implement network upgrades, expansions, and migrations across all Dentsply Sirona locations.
- Ensure adherence to industry best practices, Dentsply Sirona Policies and Standards in all network designs.
- Research and evaluate emerging technologies to recommend innovative network solutions.
- Network Operations and Maintenance:
- Respond to incidents and service requests related to network connectivity and performance promptly.
- Monitor and maintain network performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to optimize performance.
- Assist in maintaining an accurate inventory of all networking assets.
- Ensure compliance with Dentsply Sirona Policy and Standards related to network operations and security.
- Collaboration and Stakeholder Management:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives.
- Communicate network status, project updates, and technical recommendations effectively to stakeholders.
- Participate in meetings and contribute to discussions on network architecture.
Qualification Required:
- Technical Skills and Knowledge:
- Proficiency in Cisco Networking Technologies, routing protocols, switching concepts, and network performance monitoring.
- Experience in packet capture analysis and knowledge of scripting/automation tools is a plus.
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in computer sciences, Cisco certifications preferred.
- Language skills:
- Advanced English proficiency (C1), knowledge of other languages is an advantage.
- Years and Type of Experience:
- 3-5 years of relevant experience.
