Network Consultant - Cisco Routers and Switches

As a Consultant specializing in Cisco Routers & Switches at YASH Technologies, you will play a crucial role in supporting, configuring, and troubleshooting enterprise network infrastructure, including routers, firewalls, switches, and wireless devices. Your responsibilities will include implementing and managing Fortinet firewalls, ensuring secure network traffic, and effective security policies. You will design, implement, and manage network policies and practices, provide incident response support, and ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

• Support, configure, and troubleshoot enterprise network infra including routers, firewalls, switches, and wireless devices
• Implement and manage Fortinet firewalls for secure network traffic and effective security policies
• Design, implement, and manage network policies including Routing, Switching, Wireless & Firewalls
• Provide incident response support for Network/Firewall incidents
• Implement Network best practices and ensure compliance with industry regulations
• Document incidents, generate reports, and communicate with clients
• Experience with ITSM tool for ticketing, incident, change management
• Lead NOC team with best practices and SOPs
• Monitor and manage L2/L3 Routing, switching, wireless Network, and firewalls
• Perform configuration changes, firmware upgrades, and patch management on network devices
• Coordinate with Vendors/OEMs for hardware replacements and escalated issues
• Generate and analyze network performance, availability, and capacity reports
• Maintain and update network documentation, SOPs, and knowledge base articles

Required Technical/Functional Competencies:

• Hands-on experience with Cisco Catalyst switches, Cisco DNAc, and Cisco wireless controller
• Hands-on experience with Fortinet firewall, Fortinet SDWAN, and Cisco ISE Administration
• Knowledge of network monitoring and management tools like Observium, Solarwinds, DNS, DHCP, IPAM
• Strong troubleshooting skills in enterprise network environments
• Knowledge of network design and assessment
• Knowledge of ITSM Tool and Process
• Deep understanding of enterprise network architecture including cloud and on-prem data center infrastructure
• Utilize monitoring tools to monitor network performance and identify potential issues proactively
