Job Description
As a Microservices Developer, your role will involve designing independently deployable services with well-defined responsibilities, utilizing frameworks such as Spring Boot (Java), Express.js (Node.js), Gin/Gorilla (Go), FastAPI/ Flask (Python), and integrating databases including PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis, and Cassandra. You will be responsible for implementing the database per service pattern to avoid shared DBs across services. Your expertise in Docker for containerization, Kubernetes for orchestrating containerized microservices at scale, and knowledge of Helm for packaging and deploying Kubernetes applications will be crucial.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement RESTful APIs, utilizing tools like Swagger/OpenAPI for API documentation.
- Secure APIs and microservices using best practices for encryption, token-based authentication, and other security measures.
- Ensure microservices are resilient to failure by implementing retries, circuit breakers, and failover mechanisms.
- Implement pod security measures such as Seccomp, AppArmor, network policies, RBAC, and PodSecurityPolicies.
In your role, you will be required to set up technical standards and governance structures for the enterprise, with deep expertise in deploying and managing Kubernetes at scale in production environments. You will work with cloud-native tools and patterns like Istio, Envoy, or Prometheus for microservices monitoring and management. Experience with event-driven systems using tools like Kafka, RabbitMQ, or NATS for inter-service communication will be essential.
Qualifications Required:
- BE/BTech degree in Computer Science, Computer Science & Engineering, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or Electronics & Communications Engineering (or an equivalent degree).
- Alternatively, MCA, MTech, or MSc in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Electronics & Communications Engineering from a recognized university or institute.
- Mandatory certification in Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA), Certified Kubernetes Application Developer (CKAD), Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist (CKS), Microsoft Certified: Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) Developer Associate, or Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration.
- Minimum of 5 years of overall IT experience after completion of undergraduate education, with at least 2 years in the Banking or Financial Services sector.
Additional Company Details:
The company emphasizes working closely with DevOps engineers to ensure seamless deployment, monitoring, and scaling of microservices in production environments. Effective communication with frontend and backend teams is essential to ensure smooth integration between microservices and other parts of the application. Writing clear documentation for developed microservices, APIs, and deployment procedures is crucial to minimize technical debt and ensure new features are well-documented.
