Job Description
As a Merchandising Manager, you will be responsible for leading the merchandising team and collaborating with buyers on a day-to-day basis. Your role will involve reviewing product costing and pricing, as well as preparing cost sheets for samples. You will also be expected to communicate effectively with both domestic and international key buyers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and manage key accounts, while staying up-to-date on new developments in the industry.
- Oversee sampling and product development, working closely with the design team.
- Monitor and ensure the timely execution of all orders and production schedules.
- Supervise all merchandising activities, ensuring compliance with budgets.
- Conduct training and job orientation programs for new merchandisers.
- Procure orders and track material delivery dates and rates from suppliers.
- Coordinate with production, dispatch, and quality departments to ensure correct quality and timely delivery.
- Utilize ERP systems for effective communication with buyers and internal teams.
- Regularly visit factories to monitor purchasing trends of key buyers.
Qualifications Required:
- Proven experience in merchandising and buyer coordination.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of production processes and quality control procedures.
