Job Description
As a Global Tax Controller at our company, you will be responsible for supporting tax compliance, reporting, and planning across multiple jurisdictions such as the US, Singapore, India, and the UK. Your role will involve working on direct, indirect, and federal taxation, ensuring regulatory compliance, assisting with audits, and supporting tax optimization strategies. Here are the key responsibilities you will undertake:
- Ensuring compliance with direct, indirect, and federal tax regulations across the US, UK, and Singapore
- Supporting the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial standalone financial closure and consolidation process for multiple entities
- Assisting with GST/VAT, sales tax, withholding tax, and other indirect tax filings
- Implementing tax optimization strategies to minimize global tax liabilities
- Researching and analyzing tax implications of business operations and transactions
- Preparing and reviewing quarterly and annual tax provisions under US GAAP/IFRS/Ind AS
- Maintaining tax records and ensuring timely submission of required filings
- Supporting internal and external tax audits by preparing necessary documentation
- Managing tax disputes, assessments, and queries from tax authorities
- Identifying potential tax risks and implementing mitigation strategies
- Ensuring compliance with transfer pricing regulations across jurisdictions
- Preparation of transfer pricing documentation and intercompany agreements
- Monitoring cross-border transactions to ensure alignment with global tax policies
Qualifications required for this role include:
- Extremely strong fundamentals in accounting and IFRS, US GAAP, and Ind AS
- Strong knowledge of direct tax taxation including TP, Direct Tax, GST, International Tax
- Proficiency in tax compliance software and ERP systems such as D365 and Tally
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Prior experience in a Big 4 firm or multinational corporation is a plus
- Excellent multi-tasking skills
- Good written, communication, and presentation skills
- Proactive and entrepreneurial traits with a willingness to grow and learn on a daily basis
- Good interpersonal skills
Experience:
- Minimum 3 years of experience (post qualification) in a listed company or Big 4 experience
Education:
- CA, CMA, ACCA (Mandatory)
