Role Overview: As a Data Scientist for Group Internal Audits Audit Analytics function at this world-class leading Bank, you will play a key role in leveraging analytics and digital capabilities to enhance audit quality and efficiency. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in executing the analytics strategy and driving innovation within the function. Your focus will be on enhancing the department's data analytics capability, optimizing data usage throughout the audit cycle, and developing continuous monitoring strategies effectively. Key Responsibilities: - Drive innovation and gain insights across the bank's audit risk areas using data science and advanced analytics techniques such as AI/GenAI. - Conduct exploratory data analysis, create features like univariate analysis, outlier treatment, and modeling. - Collaborate with key stakeholders to understand data flow, data points, and advise on leveraging them for designing data analytical solutions. - Contribute to the design and implementation of data analytics solutions, including data sourcing, preparation, transformation, and modeling to deliver predictive outputs and insights in an automated manner. - Provide guidance on interpreting models/analytics outputs for the audit teams to facilitate appropriate actions. - Design, develop, and implement AI/GenAI models and RPA solutions using Python and Dataiku. - Work with cross-functional teams to design and implement new features, write clean and efficient code, and maintain technical documentation. - Create and optimize workflows, automation scripts, and business logic to achieve desired automation outcomes. - Lead and mentor junior data scientist specialists in the team. - Conduct testing and quality assurance of tools/solutions to ensure accuracy, reliability, and compliance with business requirements. - Embrace the agile philosophy, seek feedback for continuous improvement, and collaborate effectively with the team. Qualifications Required: - A minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in data science and analytics. - Experience in an advanced analytics role within internal audit, risk function, control function, or analyzing business processes in a financial services environment is advantageous. - Demonstrated success in data science and advanced analytics projects. - Hands-on experience in implementing data science and machine learning using SQL, Python, and/or Dataiku. - Proficiency in advanced statistical models and building ML models like Regression, Time-Series Modelling, Decision Trees & Random Forests, Clustering, Neural Networks, NLP, etc. - Strong project management and analytical skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and solve problems creatively. - Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to work effectively within a team. - A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or Artificial Intelligence is preferred.
