Job Description

As a Lead Architect at JPMorgan Chase within the Claims, Disputes and Fraud Operations product, you play a crucial role in developing high-quality architecture solutions for various software applications on modern cloud-based technologies. Your responsibilities include engaging technical teams and business stakeholders to propose technical approaches, defining the technical target state of the product, participating in architecture governance bodies, evaluating new technologies, and executing creative software solutions. You will also lead evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Engage technical teams and business stakeholders to propose technical approaches
  • Define the technical target state of the product and drive achievement of the strategy
  • Participate in architecture governance bodies
  • Evaluate recommendations and provide feedback on new technologies
  • Execute creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting
  • Develop secure and high-quality production code, review, and debug code written by others
  • Identify opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues
  • Lead evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams

**Qualifications Required:**

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts with 5+ years of applied experience
  • Proven experience as a Solution Architect, Enterprise Architect, or Lead Software Engineer
  • Experience in requirements definition and solution presentation
  • Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
  • Advanced proficiency in at least one programming language
  • Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
  • Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
  • Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline
  • In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and IT systems
  • Practical cloud-native experience
