Job Description
As a Portfolio Senior Support Specialist at SITA, your primary responsibility will be to provide support for Border Control devices such as Automated Border Control Gates and Kiosks deployed at multiple locations worldwide. You will ensure continuity across these services and support local teams remotely in maintaining and restoring service availability to meet customer and user needs efficiently. Your role is crucial in facilitating the safe and efficient movement of passengers through airport security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform remote operational maintenance and support for Automated Border Control Gates and Kiosks, proactively monitoring and addressing potential issues before they impact operations.
- Utilize monitoring tools to assess system availability, performance, and security risks, maintaining detailed logs for compliance and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with central IT support and engineering teams to identify trends, propose system reliability improvements, and reduce service disruptions.
- Manage Windows-based systems, including servers and desktops, implementing updates, patches, and configuration changes for optimal performance and security.
- Provide technical support for in-house and third-party applications, troubleshooting application-level issues, and managing installations and updates.
- Respond to technical incidents promptly, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures to minimize downtime for users.
- Support end-users with Windows and application-related issues, offering solutions to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Monitor system performance, analyze capacity planning, and optimize configurations for improved efficiency.
- Enforce security protocols and best practices across Windows systems and applications, ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
Qualifications Required:
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Windows Server and Windows OS, familiarity with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and networking concepts.
- Desirable Skills: Understanding of SRE Best Practices, experience with automation scripting tools, monitoring tools, and cloud platforms.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, customer-focused attitude.
Additional Details:
- You must be eligible to work in India and pass required background checks.
- Availability for shift work, including nights, weekends, and holidays, with flexibility to address urgent issues.
- Working Conditions: Office-based in Delhi, India, providing remote support for global airport locations.
- Physical Requirements: Primarily desk-based work with extended periods of monitoring and remote troubleshooting.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Windows system administration and application support.
- Proven experience in troubleshooting technical issues in a Windows environment.
- Certification Preferences: Microsoft Certified: Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate, CompTIA Network or CompTIA Security, ITIL Foundation, or other relevant IT Service Management certification.
