Lead QA Engineer

As a Lead QA Engineer in Retail Operations and Order Management, your role will involve testing applications related to purchase orders, inventory management, sales, returns, vendor management, and invoice reconciliation. You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of retail data across systems and validating complex business rules end to end. Key Responsibilities: - Business Process Testing - Validate complete Purchase Order lifecycle from creation to submission, receipt, and closure - Test inventory updates for receiving, adjustments, transfers, and shrink - Validate sales transactions, return processing, and stock impact - Test invoice matching against PO and goods receipt - Validate vendor and order destination mapping logic - Functional and Workflow Testing - Execute end to end testing for order review, vendor aggregation, and submission flows - Validate pricing rules, item authorization logic, and banner specific configurations - Perform regression testing for new feature rollouts - Data and Backend Validation - Write SQL queries to validate inventory balances, PO quantities, invoice match status, and sales data - Validate data integrity between UI, database, and downstream systems - Perform reconciliation testing between source and target systems - Integration Testing - Test integrations with vendor systems, ERP platforms, and reporting tools - Validate error scenarios such as inactive vendors, invalid order destinations, or mismatch quantities - Defect Management and Agile Collaboration - Log high quality defects with detailed reproduction steps - Participate in sprint planning, story grooming, and requirement reviews - Contribute to test case design and risk identification Qualifications Required: - 4 to 8 years of QA experience in retail, ecommerce, supply chain, ERP, or order management systems - Strong understanding of PO lifecycle, inventory management, sales and returns - Experience with invoice matching and reconciliation processes - Solid SQL skills for backend validation - Experience testing data heavy enterprise applications - Familiarity with REST API testing - Experience working in Agile Scrum teams --- Please note that the JD does not contain any additional details about the company.
