Job Description

As the Lead Platform Engineer / Platform Architect (Principal Engineer) at this company in Mumbai, India, you will serve as the technical authority for the organization's ERP re-platforming program. Your responsibilities will include owning platform-wide architecture, defining clear boundaries between platform services, shared libraries, and domain services. You will also be responsible for cross-cutting concerns such as identity, authorization, audit trails, metering, logging, and observability.

Your key responsibilities will include defining a security-first platform architecture, governing NuGet and shared library strategy, designing platform components aligned with cloud-based and serverless deployment realities, and protecting core ERP workflows. You will also be setting organization-wide standards for EF Core modeling, gRPC contract standards, ERP-grade Blazor Server UI standards, and guardrails for Generative AI usage in engineering.

To excel in this role, you should possess system-level architectural judgment, a deep understanding of cross-cutting concerns, strong instincts for backward compatibility and migration safety, and the ability to govern shared abstractions at scale. A mature perspective on applying AI safely within enterprise-grade engineering systems is crucial, as well as a strong ASP.NET Core + EF Core background.

You should have 8-13 years of experience owning complex backend or platform systems, proven authority over architecture and technical standards, experience designing or governing shared platforms used by multiple teams, and a history of modernizing legacy systems without disrupting customers. Additionally, you should have experience owning decisions with long-term financial or operational impact and be a trusted technical partner to senior leadership or founders.

Join this company to architect the next decade of a mission-critical ERP platform, define platform standards used across all engineering teams, work directly with founders on strategic technical direction, and shape a correctness-first, judgment-driven engineering culture.
