Job Description
As an IT Security Assistant, your role will involve assisting the IT Security team with day-to-day tasks and tool monitoring. You will play a crucial part in ensuring the protection of the company's digital assets from unauthorized access, securing both cloud and on-premises infrastructures. Your responsibilities will include weeding through metrics and data to filter out suspicious activity, identifying and mitigating risks before breaches occur.
In collaboration with the infrastructure team, you will assist in implementing security measures within the IT infrastructure. Additionally, you will be tasked with setting security standards, maintaining computer networks, and safeguarding the company from cyber-attacks. Your involvement will extend to participating in security audits and helping customers resolve queries related to the organization's security landscape.
Specific responsibilities will include:
- Monitoring security access and various security tools to address generated alerts.
- Performing risk analysis and identifying security gaps.
- Assisting with cybersecurity compliance and governance.
- Maintaining security policies and documentation.
- Analyzing security breaches to determine the root cause.
- Verifying the security of third-party vendors and collaborating with them to meet security requirements.
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelors degree in computer science/IT.
- 3+ years of experience as System Admin/Security Analyst.
- Good understanding of security aspects like intrusion prevention, incident response, email security, Zero trust, and Microsoft security.
- Knowledge about Microsoft Azure and O365 is a must.
- Hands-on experience and knowledge of cybersecurity tools like DLP solution, Phishing simulator, Email security solution, PIM/PAM, Defender for cloud, XDR, MDR, etc.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity compliance standards such as ISO27001, GDPR, NIST, etc.
- Cybersecurity certification, such as CompTIA A+, will be considered an additional benefit.
- Strong troubleshooting skills to resolve technical issues.
- Confidence and self-learners, keen to learn new technologies and implement them.
