Role Overview:
As a Graduate Engineer with experience in Time study, VA / NVA analysis, CT, and Line Balancing, you will be responsible for Industrial Engineering tasks. Your role will involve leading the development of New Program Capacity Strategy, determining launch curves, developing labor staffing plans, and submitting program funding for supplemental IE purchased services. Additionally, you will provide support for New Program delivery, participate in Buffer analysis and benchmarking activities, and work on continuous improvement projects to lower labor costs and increase capacity utilization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead in the development of New Program Capacity Strategy and line Cycle Time targets
- Develop staffing plans to meet program labor and HPU targets
- Establish and implement global common practices for Industrial Engineering within Manufacturing E
- Conduct Buffer analysis, benchmarking, and capacity planning
- Document, audit, and govern Engineered JPH metrics and database for all powertrain programs globally
- Lead Powertrain manufacturing engineering labor benchmarking activities
- Familiarity with Engine machining and assembly process
- Perform MODAPS study and work with the team to establish CT and line balancing
- Continuously identify waste in the system and propose actions for improvement
- Support plant on kaizen activities
- Utilize AI and ML to optimize work processes
Qualifications:
- Graduate and above with relevant technical expertise
- Must be familiar with Engine machining and assembly process
